This was on the Rumor Queen Blog and sort of corresponds with what we believe is the reason for things slowing down in China. The 2008 Olympics and the Worlds view of China seems to be a big issue. It seems they want to show a better view or show how much things have improved in China(real or not) when all eyes of the world are on them in 2008. Sad when so many babies are not allowed into the adoption system just because it won't look good.

Male Bonding

This is the closest our four year old Great Pyrenese named Yeti has gotten to our new puppy. I was lucky enough to catch it this morning. We were getting worried that they weren't going to get along. No more worries. They play like this now for at least an hour at a time.

Learning The Mandarin Language

I found an article in a magazine while at the dentist office. The article was for language lessons. So I wrote down the internet address and went on it when I got home. Before I new it I found myself ordering the CD rom for learning the Mandarin language. It should be here within the next few weeks. The article stated that the CD rom will teach you how to speak the Mandarin language using voice recognition. It compares how you pronounce the words to actual Mandarin speaking people. It also teaches you how to write in the Mandarin language. Teaches you how to ask key questions. For example - Where can I find the bathroom? How much does this cost? Can yah tell I'm a little excited about it. I'll let everyone know if the CD rom is worth purchasing. If anyone is interested in looking into it the address for the web site is www.rosettastone.com.

New Baby Video

This a video of our seven week old Saint Bernard puppy named Hugo. He seems to be very interested in the door stop. We saw him doing this and thought that it was funny enough to tape.

We were e-mailed these pictures of China. We were actually e-mailed nineteen pictures but I will only post a few. Hope everyone likes them. These show just how vast a country China really is. It's no wonder that China produces such beautiful little girls.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all. 2006 was the year of the dog. What is the year of 2007? I think that we should call 2007 the year of hope, the year of dreams coming true, the year of becoming parents. I should rephrase that. 2007 should be called the year of becoming physical parents because we are all emotional parents already. We are all already loving and caring for our waiting daughters in China. It's kind of odd actually. My wife and I have yet to see a picture of our daughter or meet her but yet we are so emotionally involved. We love her so much but yet we haven't met her. She is so much a part of our everyday thoughts and everyday life. I hope that it is healthy to feel like we do.
