Waiting For Ava

“But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day.” Habakkuk 2:3

Learning The Mandarin Language (Well, we have the CD-ROM anyway)

We had a request for the name of the CD that we are using to learn some Mandarin. We got the CD-ROM from a company called Rosetta Stone. I believe they have alot of language CD-ROMs.
It was expensive($200) but it is pretty cool. You can actually use it with a microphone on your computer and it will help with the intonation(is that the right word?) when you speak. I guess that the tones are very important in the Chinese language. Anyway, we have not used the program much as of yet but we are hoping to get a little motivation when our travel time get closer. We also think it will be a great tool for Ava if she is interested in learning her mother tongue. To every one who has visited Thanks. We are so happy to have the ability to share our journey and love to hear comments about our blog.

Expedited Referral

One of the families in our group received their referral picture and e-mailed us yesterday about it. We are so excited for them. Their file was expedited so there-for they received their referral ahead of the rest of the group. Congratulations to Wing & Siew. We will be waiting to see some pics.

Out of The CCAA Review Room

The China Centre of Adoption Affairs web site has been updated today. Our file is out of the review room. That means that there wasn't any problems with our file. That is fantastic news. That means that we are one step closer to our daughter. We couldn't be any happier. I actually got goose bumps after reading the CCAA web site update. Yahoo. We are so happy right now. If this is how excited we get over paper work updates I hate to imagine how excited we will be when we get our referral. Wait a minute. I imagine that day every day.
