Waiting For Ava

“But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day.” Habakkuk 2:3

Tiananmen Square

We got back about an hour ago from the tour today. What an experience. The shear size of the place is just amazing. The buildings are so beautiful. I have never seen so many people in one place. The line-up for the Tiananmen Square was huge. It looked like it went on for miles. Ava was a little trooper. She slept some of the way but was awake for the majority of it. Not one peep out her. We are waiting for the other shoe to drop. She seems to good to be true.

I was able to get some good video and good pics. If the pictures seem to be out of focus they are not. There was a heavy haze in the air. It was hard to get a clear picture of anything.

When we exited the Forbidden City we had many people walking up asking for money. Lots of children with younger children hanging onto them asking for money. Deformed children. Deformed adults. It was hard. I handed out all the money that I had in my pockets and they were still walking up asking for more. The children looked like they were starving tom death. I asked our guide Mary if they were homeless people and she said yes. Terri had to keep telling me to come on an to just keep walking.

    Mike...Mike...Mike;
    My brother with a heart of gold. I wouldn't have been able to just walk away either. You always did have a big heart. Terri - good job you were able to keep him going....he probably would've started to think about taking the shirt off his back for someone who needed it!
    You two are such loving, special people!
    luv u both,
    Darlene xoxo
