Waiting For Ava

“But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day.” Habakkuk 2:3

Adopt Talk Seminar Weekend

Well. It was our weekend to attend the Adopt Talk seminar. We have certainly learnt alot more than we were expecting to. Both Terri and I feel more prepared than ever to travel to China and what to expect when we are there. We've learnt how to deal with alot of issues that will come up once we are home with Ava. I would certainly recommend this seminar to anyone involved in international adoption. It will be helpful info for anyone who attends it. We got to meet six other couples involved in international adoption. One couple adopting from South Korea, one couple adopting from Vietnam and four other couples adopting from China. I hope that we can keep in touch with each other because we would certainly like to see them become families and or add to their current families. I think that it is absolutely fantastic to have other couples who are going through what you are going through. We can be sounding boards for each other when we need it.

Glad you enjoyed it and felt it worthwhile! FYI, there is something called a "Panda Group" or something like that, that meets one Saturday a month at the Zehrs in the north end of Barrie (top of Bayfield) ... fairly accessible and maybe worth the drive! These are families who have all BTDT .... hoping to join them in about 4 months!!! ... if all goes well!

Can't wait for the day that the wait for Ava will be finally over, Terri and Mike are the most caring and loving couple that I am so honor to know and love, I truly hope that all their dreams will come true, a child to the both of them would be like winning the biggest prize in there lives, children sure change everything but only for the better,You really don't know what your missing in this world until you have a child to call your own, they are like the foundation of a family, Ava will be the luckest child I know because she'd have 2 parents who really will love her and they would give her the moon if they could,
