Waiting For Ava

“But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day.” Habakkuk 2:3

5 days? Come on!!!!!

Well, only 5 days this month. It is so frustrating and today I am wondering what the hell we are doing. It just seems like it should be so much simpler. We are trying to be so patient but month after month the wait gets longer and longer. I don't know if I can do it anymore. At the rate of 5 days a month were are going to wait another 18 months for a referral and still another 2-3 months before we go get Ava...and that is if the Olympics don't throw a wrench into things. Are we going to have to wait until 2010? I am so tired of hoping for that elusive speed up. You would think if it was going to happen it would have by now. I know I shouldn't complain. My LID is only 3 months away. I truly can't imagine the frustration of the couples that are just getting on this rollercoaster.
Hopefully I feel better about things soon.

I just saw your post on CDN Adopting from China. We are LID 03/28/06. We are staying with China. Too invested. But everyone has their own view.

I went to China Adoption Forecast and your LID gave this:

    Our prediction for LID 2006-03-14
Our best guess - a weighted average of recent CCAA velocities, guessing that CCAA will perform about as well in the future as they are performing now, but might return to previous trends: 2008-10-24

That's our best guess for when you might receive your referral. Just at a guess, we can suppose that the CCAA either speeds up or slows down significantly, and show you those dates. If they speed up: 2008-05-23. And if they slow down: 2009-07-22.

    Keep smilin!

Hang in there guys, don't give up. Your in and that is a HUGE step right now.

If you ever feel like a little China doll fix, we are in Alliston.
